AMC Details

The contract covers predefined number of visits and labor charges and is provided within an interval of time. Other visits are also included and post the no. of visits, service would be chargeable. After the visit our engineer will provide the job completion report along with solutions for engine maintenance. We aim to provide the Generator a longer life as well as a trouble free operation.


  • Air Cleaner Housing Condition?

    Check for sealing locations in the housing, Stud conditions, Damage to HSG, Dust cap...

  • Air Cleaner Hood Condition (Cap)?

    Ensure the Air Cleaner Hood mess is not chocked and hood has not dislocated.

  • Working of Vacuum Indicator?

    Check condition for damage and working.

  • Air-Filter Element condition and sealing?

    Check for wind nut and correctness of AC element.

  • Air System Hoses Condition?

    Check for cracks in the hoses and need to replace at every 2 years or 5000hrs.

  • Air System Clamp Condition?

    Check for looseness in the clamps and tighten it. Please replace it every 2 years or 5000hrs.

  • Any Leakage in Air System?

    Corrected, Replaced, Caution to be given.




  • Coolant Used?

    Cummins, KOEL, and Mahindra Recommend use of Complete EG (DCA- 4) for Aluminium Radiator Engines and Corrosion Inhibitor (DCA-2) for Copper Radiator Engines. Use Coolant Checking Kit to check concentrate.

  • Coolant Level?

    Provided that the coolant is low, manufacturer recommended quantity would be filled.

  • Radiator Core Condition Externally?

    Check for external chocking and leakage.

  • Hot Air Re-Circulation in the Canopy?

    Ensure that there is no hot circulation in the canopy.

  • Radiator Cap Condition?

    High-pressure valve would be replaced, provided that it is damaged.

  • Fan Belt Condition?

    Check for belts alignment with respect to Pulley, tightness and conditions.

  • Radiator Hoses Condition?

    Check for cracks in the hoses and need to replace it every 2 years or 5000hrs.




  • Fuel Pump Condition?

    Check for leakages.

  • Water Separator?

    Check for leakages.

  • Hoses Fuel Section from Bottom Tank?

    Check for leakages.

  • Hose Fuel Return Condition from Engine?

    Check for leakages.

  • Non-Return Valve Functioning?

    Check for leakages.

  • Weather all the Connections?

    Improper connections would be re-tightened.

  • Check Diesel Level?

    We'd recommend the customer to maintain at least 40% diesel.




  • Oil Used?

    If recommended grade not being used, then the customer needs to be advised. Wear metal analysis and Oil analysis once every after 250 hrs.

  • Oil Level?

    It should be at 'H' mark. Ensure uses of a correct dipstick.

  • The Condition of Oil Hoses?

    Replace if found leakage or cracks.

  • Lub Oil Pressure?

    Check Readings 3 Kg/cm2 7 Kg/Cm2.

  • Lub Oil Filter Condition?

    If B check is done, check for metal particles in filters. If yes take corrective actions.

  • Weather all the Connections?

    Ensure tightness for all the connections including the oil drain plug.

  • Oil Leakages If Any?

    We'll immediately solve it.




  • Shut Off Coil Condition?

    Re-tighten all the connections. Check for Linkage adjustment whatever is applicable.

  • Transducer Pressure Condition?

    Re-tighten all the connections.

  • Check for Sensors Conditions?

    Re-tighten all the connections.

  • Control Panel Box Electrical Wiring?

    Re-tighten all the connections.

  • Charging Alternator condition (Engine)?

    Re-tighten all the connections. Please check for output voltage for 12V Battery ( 13.80V to 14.20V) and for 24V ( 27.60V to 28.40V).

  • Battery condition?

    Re-tighten all the battery connections. Please check leakage current of the battery and top surface should be clean and dry. Ensure vent plug is not chocked.

  • Starter condition?

    Re-tighten all the connections. Needs servicing once in 5000hrs or 2 years, whichever is earlier.




  • Exhaust Expansion Bellow?

    Check for misalignment and proper support.

  • Smoke Condition?

    Check for the color of smoke. If it is heavy black or white, take corrective actions.

  • Vibration Isolators (AVM) Conditions?

    Correct/Replace.

  • Check for Breather Pipe?

    Ensure breather pipe is outside the inside the canopy.

  • Earthing Properness?

    Please ensure that 3 earth pits separately for Neutral and two for Body Earthing.

  • Exhaust Gas Leakage?

    Ensure that there is no leakage.

  • Engine Vibration?

    Ensure (AVM) conditions.




  • AMC Visit?

    All the above-mentioned points would be checked by our Service Engineer in the customer's presence. What can be solved instantly would be done instantly. Rest would proceed to the next step.

  • AMC Schedule?

    According to the agreement, our Service Engineer would pay a visit every 60 days. Visits would only be done after enquiring the customer regarding it.

  • Extra Visit?

    This refers to cases when the allotted visits (6 visits) exceeds in cases of Engine Breakdown between checkup period. Please note that Diesel run-out issues are not included.

  • Tools Management?

    Our Service Engineer is equipped with almost all the modernized tools for DG Breakdowns.

  • Field Service Report?

    Whether the job is complete/incomplete, our Service Engineer would prepare a Company Service Report comprising of the DG's parameters in the customer's presence, get it signed by the customer and, provide a copy to the customer.

  • Orientation Training?

    An Orientation Training would be provided by our team to the authorized person regarding the functioning of the Generator. It's also possible to inquire us if there are any doubts regarding the DG and for the same, contact our Technical Advisor through the number provided below.

  • Safety and Timing?

    According to the Government Safety Policies, our Service Engineers are provided with Safety Equipment such as Uniform and ID Card comprising Cochin Tech's logo, Safety Shoes, ESI etc. Now regarding the time, the Service Engineers would only pay a visit between working hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM). All other visits other than the time mentioned would be considered mutually as per the agreement.




  • AMC Visit?

    Service should only be alotted if the arrived Service Engineer is verified as Cochin Tech's authorized persons.

  • Visit Schedule?

    If the time arranged by us is inconvenient to the customer, the customer can let us know and book an alternate convenient time (During Working Hours).

  • Cleaning Consumable?

    It's the customer's responsibility to provide the Service Engineers with cleaning consumables such as Diesel, Grease, Cleaning Cloth etc. If the same is not possible, we'd take care of it at a chargeable base.

  • While Service Time?

    Unless the Generator is fully serviced, the customer should not demand or compel the Service Engineer to start the DG, else it would result in severe consequences. Normally, if there are no unusual breakdowns, service would consume 1-2 hrs. The power gets interrupted during that time, eg: Lifts, Computers etc. should and is the sole responsibility of the customer to arrange a backup power.

  • Field Service Report?

    The report should only be signed by the customer after verification. The signed report should be filed by the customer for future communication. Any other payments excluding the Invoice provided by Cochin Tech are not to be done. The customer should also cross-check the Report and the Invoice.

  • Recognise Our Employee?

    Though we've already mentioned this, we don't want our customer being cheated by some other sources. The customer should always ensure that the arrived Employee is from Cochin Tech. We've also provided a unique mobile number to all our Employees such that the customer should verify the first three and the last five digits. Eg: 999XX64999. Thus the customer can perform a Tele or Mail verification. We've also provided a tracing box comprising the mobile numbers below.

  • Safety and Timing?

    The customer should ensure the Safety and Lunch Timings of the Service Engineer as well as the Parking facility of his 2 or 4 wheeler vehicle during the Service Time. If power shutdown is necessary, the customer should not hesitate. In construction areas, the Service Engineer should be provided by the customer with necessary safety equipment.



  • Payment?

    The contract would only commence after 100% payment and acquire the Work Order.

  • Payment Methods?

    We accept payment only by Cheque and NEFT.

  • Out-of-Scope Services (In Contract)?

    1. Supply of Spare Parts.
    2. Major components of the engine for scheduled and unscheduled repairs like overhauling, top overhauling. Namely - Pump, Injectors, Turbo, Cylinder head, Radiator.
    3. Major components of the alternator for scheduled and unscheduled repairs like rewinding of the stator, rotor, alternator, engine to alternator coupling.
    4. Major components of the control panel for scheduled and unscheduled repairs like battery chargers, timers, circuit breakers, energy meters and other instrumentation.
    5. Any other additional modification in the Generator system.
    6. Cleaning of diesel tank, radiator, heat exchanger, silencer etc.
    Note: In no case, shall the Contract be liable for any consequential damages, losses to the property of the Customer and expenses incurred by Customer directly or indirectly due to non-availability of the DG set during the period of Contract. In all events, the liability of the Contractor is restricted to carry out preventive maintenance of the respective DG set.

  • Preventive Maintenance?

    Any other catastrophic damages incurred the Generator occurred other than the manufacturer recommended schedule provided by Cochin Tech is solely the customer's responsibility.

  • Response Time?

    Although we have Service network in all the districts in Kerala, we require at least 2 hrs on working days to attend the site. Adding it, if our Service Engineers are halted their work for more than 30 mins, either the Service schedule would be canceled or it would be converted to a chargeable base.

  • AMC Termination?

    If the customer doesn't proceed mutually with our T&Cs, or the payment is not done within the stipulated time, the AMC would be immediately canceled after notifying the customer.
    If it's the other way i.e. the customer is not satisfied with Cochin Tech's work even after repeated attempts, the customer can withdraw the AMC and will be refunded pro-database. Unfortunately, the tax would not be refunded.

  • Jurisdiction?

    All disputes arising out of this Contract shall be subject to Jurisdiction of courts of [Cochin] (India) only.
